as the wind rustles through my thick hair
the breeze of a forest is fair
slivers of hope and beauty touch my face
as I walk amongst my protectors
seeing their health destroyed
by man made wastes

I journey to the edge where I see destruction
my protectors cut down in an effort
to raise corruption
I say no more

I have awoken from my conformity
seen god’s eyes
he spoke to me

save what can be saved before it’s too late
stop the meddlers
from killing our last
chance to breathe

pick up the damage
take your unwanted mess
and make something beautiful with it
show the world you care
make the earth healthy
give it your love
as we make our repairs

stay safe my fellow trees
