To keep us strong because the struggle is tiring,

We recite the poem so we remember why we fight,

For all of mankind’s human rights,

But we retaliate without using arms or committing atrocious crimes,

Instead we go to war to fight with love, patients, & intelligent mind,

In the kitchen we will find strength in our wounds,

And in the kitchen we can reveal our true selves,

And become the people we were destined to be,

In doing so we are set free.
