Land of the Free

America, my beautiful and lovley home

You gave me warmth and tranquilty

Your open arms and vast lands, filled with big hearts and gentle hands

Each day you grow tried and weaker

You were once the Land of the Free but why has all of that changed so suddenly?

Your hands are no longer open to all, only to those who are worthy

Your heart is now bitter and filled with violence and hate.

Why does the color of our skin, religion, or origin now determine our fate?

If we do not meet your standards, we are unworthy of your love

You turn the other cheek and push us to the side with your cold and bitterness

Leaving us to struggle, while others show no weakness

Is this what my beautiful and lovely home has become?

A warm place for only some?

What happened to my Great America?

The one that silenced the hate and embraced the love

It seems that the roles are now reversed

Land of the Free.

That's what you once were to me.
