King Among Men

You think you are the

King among men,

With your cool eyes

And ruby lips.

You think you have the

Right to rule,

With a harsh tongue

And a winning smile.

You spread poison

Through mouth.

Consume air meant

To go to the less fortunate.

Your heavy head

Does not

Equal my

Heavy heart.

Your power consumes

While mine gives.

Your influence can end

Thousands with a breath

While mine gives life

To thousands more.

Your pretty looks

Mean nothing

More than a

Wilting rose.

A dying fragrance

That was never sweet

To those who

Could not smell.

As I could

Not smell.

To me,

Your looks mean

NOTHING.

Like dirt.

You speak

And preach

While people stand

And believe your lies.

They stand and listen

To my truths

My wisdom

My words of experience.

They believe

My power is strong.

More so

Than yours.

You are man.

You mean more

To other men

Than to me.

I am woman.

I am the backbone

Of your filthy estate,

Of your conscience.

You think you are the

King among men.

Think again.

I am queen among women.
