Just A Simple Thanks

Thank you to the one that gave me life without giving birth.

Thank you to the one who gave me meaning without losing worth.

Your words gave me light to sky without a ceiling,

Your words gave me a heart to a world without feelings.

The days that I see you are the days I smile,

And the nights that go by just seem to stretch for miles.

My past was filled with confusion and fraught,

That always seems to wander my thoughts,

But your comforting hugs just pushes them away,

And your heart-warming smile always seems to stay.

For the years that I've been under your wing,

You always shown compassion to my poisonous stings.

Through thick and thin, through rain and snow,

You supported my decisions from the highs to the lows.

From all the "I love you" and "I love you too",

I mean this from the bottom of my heart: thank you.
