Just Hold On

Feeling myself wither and fade away is a beautifully scary thing,

knowing that one day ill just be gone is something beautiful I find peace in.

Knowing all these horrible feelings can permanently stop.

Although it is scary seeing myself break like this,

 it's simply comforting.

I find comfort in the simple things of life.

The things that are so ordinary that there also beautiful,

 beautiful and simple. Always.

The things that any person can find.

Things such as the simple stroke of a paint brush,

 that first summer breeze.

Those afternoons that make you feel as if time could stop,

the burning in your throat after running in winter.

Going to a school event,

playing around and having a good time. Realizing that one day you won’t have this forever,

you’ll graduate sooner then you feel.

Doing something right for the first time,

and one day even though you won’t realize when you do.

Doing something for the last time,

like playing outside with your friends.

Or holding your parents hands,

maybe even the feeling of the last time you feel the ground beneath your bare feet before your seated until the end.

 Crying. Laughing. Yelling. Smiling.

All these simple things anyone and everyone can experience,

are the most beautiful things that life has given for those of us dying to hold on for awhile.

All you have to do is hold on for awhile.
