Just friends

There was wind in my hair and music in my ears.

My heart pounded as I wished it lasted for years.

He noded his head to the beat as I adjusted the seat.

And at that very moment I knew that he was the one I needed to meet.

My lost soul was blinded by the light as the scars on my body healed over night.

His eyes said he wanted an eternity but all I have is broken heart.

My eyes stung with fear as I wanted him to rescue me from the torments in my head.

However all I could ever do is lay in my bed.

Because at the end of the day we could only be friends.
