Just add water
Have you ever drowned in a dry space?
Suffocated by all the things that make your throat ache?
Thoughts of failure, the past, regrets.
Things that make your eyes gleam and your palms sweat.
I'm drowning now.
I wish I knew how to swim.
I'm in this pool called life.
I was pushed in on a whim.
I'm trying to stay afloat.
I wish I knew how to swim.
