Joy

From a young age my memory has been a blur,

I tend to have memories here and there,

In all my memories there is always you,

Your voice,

Your smile,

Your wise words,

They are all I carry when days are tough,

From sad times to happy times,

You have always been optimistic,

From having nothing to giving us everything,

I have seen you work hard through everything,

I know you worry here and there,

You just want us to be successful in life,

I know it is not easy bringing up children,

There is no manual on how to be a perfect parent,

But in my eyes you're perfect,

You motivate me to never give up,

You motivate me to follow my dreams,

You motivate me to become a better version of myself,

Whenever I was sick you were there,

Whenever I was stressed over school you were there,

Whenever I needed a small push you were there,

Whenever I needed a hug you were there,

All through my journey you have been there,

I only hope that one day I can repay you for all you've done,

Thank you, mom.
