When I was 9 my little sister died

I think of her every day of my life

And to this day I say

Jessie I love you, why did you leave me

I know you didn’t choose bul I miss you like crazy

You were an angel sent from god

But man he snatched you back up in the fog

I was dazed, hazed

You were gone so fast I couldn’t help

I wonder what you would look like, be like, sing like

These things chase through my mind

Why you, why then, why didn’t we have more time

For god’s sake you were almost 9

That was it, I didn’t even get to say goodbye

I stare at your picture and cry

One day my daughter will come when I say Jessie
