It's Time For Us to Live

I'm not here.

This hollow shell that walks around is not the person you think.

I play the part you want to me to play.

You can't see me.

My true self is kept hidden away.

I lock it up and refuse to set it free, fearing the opinions of all around.

Don't notice me, I'll silently walk by.

Dont' touch me.

It's easier to face the world when they can't face you too.

When the only one who really knows what's going on is you.

Don't ask me.

You'll only get a lie.

You could say my life is like a play,

and you are all the supporting actors.

I say every line that will make the audience happy.

Smile for me.

Yes Mom, Yes Dad.

Everything you say is right.

No I won't do that, I'll never drink a sip.

Are you happy now?

The price of living a masked life,

it's not an easy one to carry, because in the end you're all alone.

No one understands,

no one can.

No one can because I won't let them.

Maybe it's time to spread my wings and fly away.

Maybe it's time to start saying no, to say what I really think.

Time to shine.

Hi......

no, No NO. NO MOM, NO DAD, I WILL DO IT. I WILL TRY TO FLY. I WILL HAVE A SIP.

JUST ONE SIP OF ADVENTURE, ON SIP OF FREEDOM.

ONE SIP OF LOVE

OF HOPE

OF FAITH

OF HAPPINESS

OF LAUGHTER

OF LIFE.

It's time to take off the shell,

it's time the mask fell.

it's time we all stepped back,

and said goodbye to our personal hells.

I'm not the only one,

the only one who wears a mask,

not the only one who refuses to show who really hides inside.

It's time for us to shine.

It's time for us to live.
