It's not you, it's me

Mother Nature,

you poor, forgotten woman.

People complain of your work.

You are never appreciated for your beauty.

No wonder you are changing.

We are ruining you

With our trash

With our cars

With our pollution.

Mother nature,

how you weep the saddest of tears,

as your icebergs melt

And your animals slowly die.

Mother nature,

You have changed.

You grow hot and impatient with furious temper.

You grow cold and distant.

You grow reckless with vicious behavior bringing storms and wind.

Mother nature,

Please forgive us

For our foolish mistakes,

for our abuse of the resources that you have given us.

Mother nature,

let us save you.

Let us change for you.

For it's not you, it's me.
