It's Life

Cotton candy sky

Hot pink clouds that float on by

Thinking about carnivals

And wanting to be there

Wishing life was like a fair

Buts it's real life

And it's not fun and games

No, you're not ten tickets away

From a prize

Life is just a court case in disguise

Everybody's judging

Nobody is loving

Wanting to put you on trial

For every misstep

Every wrong smile

If only life were a roller coaster

Where every twist brought you closer

To a win

Where each turn lets you begin again

But it's not

And we're caught

Between living life

And fighting for some fun

It's life

And this time around

Nobody's won
