It's All Up to You -- The Other Side of the Story

Did you hear? Did you hear?

Hear it from me, don't mishear!

The war is over, we've finally won!

Hitler is dead, the good guys have withdrawn.

No more evil, no more hate!

Hitler has nothing more to dictate!

What do you mean, the good guys?

You all act as if you've earned a prize.

So long as you have your disguises, nobody has to know.

Nobody has to know of the sorrow.

What about America's camps?

The ones that stowed Americans just like your gramps?

Neglected, abused, for crimes we didn't commit.

Little ones crying after they get hit.

The Japanese Americans were jailed for being Japanese.

Nothing they said or did brought their captors ease.

But so long as the Americans have their disguises on,

Nobody has to know of their wrong.

Right?
