It Was Me.

I remember your singing, my favorite sound

When suddenly my heart started to pound

Something different, something strange

Was the reason for my mind's craze

It was you.

With your eyes glistening like stars in the night

Making the rest of the world go fuzzy and white

I felt like I was soaring above the whole town

But that moment marked when I started to drown

It was her.

I could not reach you, even though I tried

My mind was torn like jekyll and hyde

I pulled above the water but I was under too long

She was pretty and witty and I was so wrong

It was me.
