Israel's Lot ...

Proverbs 24:17-18 New English Translation (NET Bible)

17 Do not rejoice when your enemy falls,
and when he stumbles do not let your heart rejoice,
18 lest the Lord see it, and be displeased,
and turn his wrath away from him.

The enemy within and without

Israel is always listening to the world in general

Forgetting it was called long ago to be an example

Now it struggles day after day to pacify all nations

As these work on its downfall like a "preying" mantis

The world, in general, hates its existence

Sacrificing even children to destroy all insight

Consciences seared in their blind persistence

To fulfill the call of darkness to destroy the light

This has gone on for ages in known history

Try to root out Israel so to do “God” a favor

The blind leading the blind in a solemn potpourri

That smells up to heaven as a stinking rotten flavor

Politicians even in Israel confused by their calling

Thinking about own priorities more than of the nation’s

Watered down commitments that seem so appalling

The chosen and the faithful must accept this in patience
