Israel

Psalm 132:13-14 New English Translation (NET Bible)

13 Certainly the Lord has chosen Zion;
he decided to make it his home.
14 He said, “This will be my resting place forever;
I will live here, for I have chosen it.

Israel can never loose with God on its side

It surely may suffer setbacks because of disobedience

Israel won’t be loved by the worldly bright

And few in heaven care about their hardened conscience

The world in darkness seems lost in its own conception

They feel so at home here that they want us all to join in

An invitation they force down our throats without exception

If you don’t accept the ways they want you dead deep within

One cannot argue or debate their self-formed opinion

After a while, it gets seared in their darkened hearts

Traveling at full speed on the highway to destruction

Ignoring the faded warning signs right from the start

They offer a free ride to all who’ll go with them

Somewhere along the way, there is a price to pay

Hungering for freedom that will enslave them

For true freedom comes to them who die to self every day
