Invisible Chains

Fri, 09/04/2020 - 16:58 -- kdaniel

Someone once told me that we were free,

But all I see is invisible chains.

Held down by racism, injustice, and WAR!

Police Brutality has taken my brothers and sisters,

Now!;they lay in wait of Gods Judgement....

Yesterday I mourned, Today I cried, and Tomorrow I will PRAY!!!!!

For we have lived with INVISIBLE CHAINS for a LIFETIME...

I have found that there is no diversity in COLOR!

For my collegues have told me that I am different,

because the Lord has made me BROWN.

My soul  has heard the voices of my ancestors;

as they lay in the bottom of the ocean...

Unable to understand the suffering of a CULTURE!

Having SUFFERED, and DIED YOUNG with no FAMILY

Held down by the INVISIBLE CHAINS as they cut off my BROTHERS oxygen

Unable to BREATHE, as we beg for MERCY!

My IDENTITY mistaken for a THUG; so they can KILL ME

Laying in the street full of BULLET WOUNDS;

while my blood paints the streets RED...

Unable to tell the difference in REALITY;

while being held down by INVISIBLE CHAINS!!!
