Introspection

Bright white light in the middle of the night

Starkly glowing, my face is sad

Cold exterior, I’m burning up I'm back here again

Mes doigts délicat firmly grip the glass phone

It's midnight and I'm alone

Like a druggie, I need you

So I always find myself coming back Like a Thunderbird, I roar back again

I guess u flew

Just one more in the cuckoo’s nest

I love you, the memory of you

Since you taught me “to be different, take an unusual turn”

Until I realized the other women will always spend her nights alone,

alone,

alone.

But as long as my beautiful confounding thoughts stay and not stray like you

And as long as I have art and poetry

They make these nights more bearable.
