Introduction to People That Don't Talk Much
My name is Emily,
my name is cageless bird
and Saturday afternoons.
I talk to myself and write poems,
witch is basically the same thing.
I have too many questions
to ever be answered
and I like drinking tea.
Some day I'll go to Europe,
some day I'll dance barefoot
on broken streets.
Maybe I just want to get out
of this lifeless neighborhood,
And I want old friends
to stop telling me
how to get to the sea.
My favorite things
are writing letters to strangers
and tracing maps
with my finger tips.
I love my dog
and I love the Beatles.
Sometimes I wonder
if there's anyone
who wanders around
like I do: aimlessly.
and wonders
if there is someone out there
who is as human as they are.
