Inspiration

Inspiration

a whispery-sounding

word

for something so big

It can come like a

Flash - lightning turns the

shifting sands of

Thought

to glass, clear as crystal

Or softly

oh so softly

like a little green

light

on a pier

waiting for the eyes

of love

It can be harsh

dark

ripping open old

hurts

like iron

Unyielding

Or gentle

oh so gentle

turning the bent and

fragile pages

of an old story

making it

New

What is it?

Not a place in the mind

Not a single

Moment

It is the opening of the skies to see the

Flashing, storming

tender, whispering

Rending, tearing

slow, unyielding

Bone-shaking

Terrible

lovely

Truth.
