Inner Perfectionist

Perfection is key

Everything must be

Do not fail

Or consequences will hail

You are no good

You must do your best

Your failure is rude

You don’t compare to the rest

You disgust me

In fact your not enough

But try to be free

Your a diamond in the rough

Take your time

As time and patience will tell

Acceptance is key

Let go of perfection

Your insecurities are perfect to me

This poem is about being a perfectionist and beating myself up for making mistakes. I've learned that I am only human, so I can't bully myself for doing what is in human nature. Hope you like it! ; )
