Innate Ignorance

The blue sun remained at rest over the horizon, as i watched with gruesome unease.

The man with a rope collar jumped off a ledge,

A woman with scars on her wrists cried,

A man who felt guilt overdosed on a pill,

And a child played with her doll, not knowing the meaning of death.
