Indeed

Matthew 6:9-10          New English Translation

9 So pray this way:

Our Father in heaven, may your name be honored,

10 may your kingdom come, may your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Indeed

How does the will operate, does it want or not to?

Does it chooses or selects, or is it predetermined?

Does the will represent a man, and is it his real self?

Does our will act for the entire man, even when he is a hermit?

Emotions tell me how I feel, my mind how I think.

My will tells me what I want, but that’s not all of it

If I treat religion as emotion or compatible with my mind

And it so becomes rational and makes this a perfect fit

But true religion aims to impart true life to my spirit

And leads my life to be yielded in willingness to God’s

To accept His whole counsel through true, complete salvation

That saves my will from me and brings focus to the One God

Intuition and volition is the focus of my relationship with God

He set my will free, and that principle seems vital

“When I set you free,” He said, “You’ll be free indeed.

As indeed shows the real action, that our freedom is in total.
