Imprisoned
James 1:12
Loving God under Trials
12 Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved,
he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.
Imprisoned
In Jail, Nursing Homes … Church?
What to expect ... when you visit the confined
some behind bars … some behind doors?
What is imprisoned ... is it a state of mind
or what is freedom … if all you want is more?
What is contentment ... if you can’t stand another?
What is fulfillment … if you cannot share?
What is compassion … if you don’t bother
to let it flow freely … to any everywhere?
What is beauty in front of the mirror?
What is a paradigm ... if you can’t see past your nose?
What is truth ... if you can’t see the horror
that sin spreads afar ... but most of all indoors?
What is salvation ... if you want to be yourself?
What is love ... when you lock it in your heart?
What is prosperity ... if hidden on your shelf
where you can kiss and stroke it until you depart?
What is a call ... when selfishness out-shouts it?
What is the purpose ... if you can’t get past yourself?
What is family ... as Christ presents and gives it
if you can’t give or accept ... any form of help?
What is depression ... but a wish to be left alone?
What is the Crystal Sea ... but tears that softly glisten?
What is persuasion ... but being on the phone
with the Holy Spirit ... not to speak but to listen?
What is life ... if death can’t be conquered?
What is happiness ... when your neighbor cries?
What is loneliness ... but to be completely surrounded
by indifferent hearts ... or those busy with own lives?
What is love ... but a form of grief and pain?
What is hunger ... without an appetite?
What is empathy ... but an ever going rain
of blessings to be shared ... with them in the night?
What does Life contain ... that is not ours?
What is a loan ... unless paid back in full?
What is Grace ... but an everlasting shower
Who loves to flow through us ... to the ones feeling fooled?
