Impassioned Ambition

Now, I will step forward.

Later, I will step up.

But never, will I step down.

No speech, no sermon, no diatribe

Will break me or my ambition.

Because I have the drive.

I invite you to push my limits.

Let's just see how long they last.

I will shatter them to bits.

I don't need to surpass you

I only need to overcome me

Only then, is my success true.

My compassion comes from, "passion"

My empathy comes from, "sympathy"

Of genuine concern, I need no ration.

These things serve to empower

Not debilitating fear or weakness

That, in the face of despair, make me cower

Today, I will rise

Tomorrow I will fly

But I will never fall.
