An Immortal Growth

A continual change lives inside of me

My story follows;

Family of four ‘till a blessing in disguise

Now we’re a family of five

Long practices to longer games

Jv to Varsity

Long summer days spent at softball fields

Softball – dirty clothes, running around the bases.

Basketball- parents cheering in the stands, coaches calling out plays

Athletics

The WV hills

Mountaineer and Dragon Country

From Fork Ridge to Dry Ridge

Dodging potholes and cruising down dirt roads

Holiday feasts at grandma’s house

Homemade noodles and pumpkin pie

Getting muddy and stomping through the muck in my boots

Four-wheelers and truck pulls

FFA camps and sales in official dress

Marshall County fair- my home away from home

The Livestock barn and the Halley Hubbs arena

Camping and ending the night s’mores all over our faces

Walking through the woods and going on adventures

Shooting my bow in the backyard

Sunday school, crafts, and bible verses

Walking 9 dogs around Wheeling Island all at one time

“aint” and “yins” are proper to everyone around

Good grades and honor roll

Myrtle Beach and Deep Creek for getaways

Tumbling class every week to Dance Recitals once a year

Puppy dog folders to 3 ring binders

Kindergarten to 11th grade

This poem is about:
Me
My family
My community
My country
Our world
