I'm Sorry

I’m sorry I’m not perfect

And that’s perfectly okay with me

I’m sorry you don’t think I worth it

But that’s something I try not to see

I’m sorry you think I’m a waste of time

While I wonder why you talked to me at all

I’m sorry you think I’m a disaster sign

While I wonder why you suddenly put up this wall

I’m sorry that I’m not a model

And don’t have the perfect body

I’m sorry that I always dawdle

And study so much you think I’m an oddie

I’m sorry you never really knew me

That you never took the time

I’m sorry that we couldn’t be

But you seem to have found another prime

I’m sorry that I wasn’t good enough for you

I’m not a Cinderella you could find at a ball

I’m sorry I’m like the gum under your shoe

But I want to let you know most of all

That I’m not really sorry at all
