I'm Not So Brave

Tue, 04/02/2019 - 19:44 -- Veaness

The Earth looked at him

And asked, "Did you have fun?"

He looked to the ground, and

said, "What have I done?"

The clouds moved aside and

Revealed where she cried.

His daughter on a dirty couch,

balled up in a delicate crouch.

She quietly said, "He died all

alone on that hospital bed."

It was then that he asked,

Did I deserve this death?

The answer was Yes, but did he

deserve such a final breath?

Her endless jokes of a lonely finish

had come rushing back, but she knew

now that she was not as so brave.

So she crawled and she crawled,

and she sat outside the cave, and she

listened to the whispers and decided

to never give into their crave.
