If Only a Slit

Slit.

If only my mother didn't shun me.

Slit.

If only my father disown me.

Slit.

If only my brother didn't hurt me.

Slit.

If only I wasn't confused about my sexuality.

Slit.

If my college sister didn't run away from me.

Slit.

If only the world didn't shake under me.

Slit.

If only I could be who I want to be.

Slit.

If only they didn't cut off my individuality.

Slit.

If only the country didn't fight about Nationality.

Slit.

If only they didn't hate on minorities.

Slit.

If only my school didn't hate on me.

Slit.

If only these thoughts didn't suck the life from me.

Slit.

If only these words weren't making it harder to breathe.

Slit.

If only my baby sister wasn't gone and then she could see.

Slit.

If only the high school didn't call me unworthy.

Slit.

If only I didn't cry myself to sleep.

Slit.

If only the blood didn't have me drowning.

Slit.

If only a breath doesn't make me shout and internally kill me.

Slit.

If only someone had saved me.

Slit.

If only there was someone, just one person, who loved me.

                                                                            But I'm alone. Always.

Slash!

If only I didn't cut the last one so deep.

Then maybe I would still be here.

                                                                              If only . . .
