If I Should Have A Son...

If I Should Have A Daughter...

If I should have a son, instead of mom,

he could call me “Soul”,

because no matter what happens,

I’ll always be there for him in body and spirit,

forever more.

I’d teach him to see the world differently

through his beautiful eyes

and to follow his dreams to whom he wants to be.

To preach to the young like Malcolm X

reciting god words as he speak.

He would most certainly know how

to treat a lady as if she

were his fallen archangel angel.
