If I Had To Live Without

I cannot live without sound.

Take my sight of my taste,

But never what joy I've found,

In the exilirating vibrations of sound.

Through sound comes emotion,

Through it comes stories,

Of love and endless devotion.

Nothing else can sway my emotion.

So if I had a choice,

Between what I'd lose first,

I'd quickly raice my voice,

Becuase with sound, there really is not choice.

Aspen N.

This is my first poem on this site, so I don't really know what I'm doing.

I don't really consider myself a poetic person, but I can see it everywhere and I enjoy it most of the time.

This poem is pretty simple, I got the promt from a scholarship opportunity, and it's about what I wouldn't be able to live without.

As said in the poem I would never be able to live without being able to hear, probalby becuase music and stories are a big part of my life. I could have chosen books, but reading words on a page only take you so far, and I can still get the same experience of a great book by listening to it.

I don't know if there's any hidden meaning to what I've written, but it's free to interpritation.
