Idols ...

Psalm 55:6

6 So I said, “Oh, that I had wings like a dove!
I would fly away and be at rest.

Isaiah 40:31

31 But those who wait on the Lord
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint.

Broken

Once a wing has been broken ... can one ever fly again?

Or not really as high ... as originally designed?

But if one never left the ground ... but only did pretend?

What will that brokenness be ... when not really defined?

Can’t one serve in walking ... can one’s life be so dry?

Is not flying only set aside ... for birds and not for man?

What is than the motivation ... for me trying to fly?

Is it not just to prove ... that the impossibly I can?

If I try to achieve the things ... not set aside for me

am I not in will ... surpassing my given limitations?

Is not the motivation ... that binds or sets me free

and can be used at times ... as a self-made foundation?
