I Won't Let This Christmas Song Fade Away

I won't let this Christmas song fade away,
though the sea washes its dirt to shore,
and the sun fades away at evening,
I'll keep every single word to heart,
and let its bells jingle in my soul,
I'll have the words printed solely in my heart.

I won't let this Christmas song fade away,
as the stars lead the night into day,
As daybreak sings lullabies for the moon to go to sleep,
So I'll sing every word of this Christmas song,
'til its tune stays glued to my lips,
and it's melody affixed to my ears,
because it's lyrics brings me peace of mind.

I won't let this Christmas song fade away,
which heaven's host so craved to sing,
Glory, Hosannah to the new birthed king,
One whose glory earth cannot surpass,
Gather around all and sing your hymns,
Under the dark sky that holds that special star,
Which will lead us to the young king,
Whose birth brought peace to all creation.
