I Wonder, Can You See?

Location

You stare through the screen, piercing blue eyes, reminiscent the skies,

Your stare is tangible and sends shivers down my spine.

I wonder if you can see?

I wonder if you can see, just what your smile does to me.

Your creative soul sparks mine back to life with new meaning each time and if I had a dime for each time we meshed perfect as a rhyme it would be sublime.

But I try to drown it,

Ignore it in the moment,

The feeling I get when you're talking to me,

Because I don't want you to see.

But it never goes away.

I fear I'm locked in the asylum of love, and I see no exit,

But nor am I looking for one.

It's holding me under, crashing waves and all,

Trying to hide this simple fact from you.

I couldn't take the chance,

To speak this stance and risk forever losing you,

I really don't know what I would do...
