I Was Only A Kid

They say listen to your elders
Thats what I did
I did everything he told me
I was only a kid

He used us and hurt us
Broke our childhood apart
He blames it on us
That was only the start

Many machines to use
No protection indeed
Smallest was a bruise
For the hospital we'd plead

Making minimum wage
For hard work and great pain
In a hot room
With nothing to gain

I come home
Wth some money and hope
To get my mom happy
Or at least to not mope

I was really hoping
that this was a dream
Since this reality
can not be what it seems

I want this all over
I want my childhood back
I want to play games
I'm going crack
