I want to be

I want to be a voice for those that have no voice.

I want to be that beacon of hope to those whose hope has been crushed.

I want to tell the child who has no mother or father that he/she is not alone.

I want to be the hope that I have been called out to be.

I stand for those that have been abused, neglected, mistreated.

I stand for the brokenhearted.

Let me be that ray of hope, that beacon of light.

May my life reflect truth and light.

May I always see myself small, when I stand before the ocean.

May my steps be guided in everything I do.

So that I may not falter and fall,

And if I were to utter hurtful words,

Or cause harm,

That I may be forgiven and shown mercy,

For I am far from perfect.

That I shall always strive to be pure of heart,

Being kind and giving.

That it shall not be about me,

But about those I shall touch,

May I be the very reflection of love and kindness,

And may I never be used as a stumbling rock to someone else.

May my life be a reflection of truth and integrity,

May I be merciful and kind,

For great mercy has been bestowed upon me.

I want to be a voice for those that have no voice.

I want to be that beacon of hope to those whose hope has been crushed.

I want to tell the child who has no mother or father that he/she is not alone.

I want to be the hope that I have been called out to be.

Oh, let me be.

Oh, let me be.
