I Walk

Search for truth.
Don't tell us who we are.
We are people.
We are all people.
I walk for truth.
I walk for them.
For the children,
for the old men on their front porches,
for the old women sewing,
for the boys playing games,
for the girls in the classrooms.
Darkness?
I am not dark. I am not evil.
I am a person.
We are all people.
Can we not all be people?
I am not dark. I am not evil.
I am like you.
I eat. I walk. I sleep. I dream.
Don't you dream?
But I don't want to dream any more of freedom.
I want freedom to be my reality.
