I Past, Me Now

I am finally me

I can finally see

What I was destined to be

My eyes were covered in lies

My reality was nothing more than a disguise

To lead me to my demise

But now, as I rip the layer that bonded me

I can say

I am a proud woman

I feel

I am a proud Hispanic

I can see

I am me

I am the ruler of my own destiny

I am now

And

Forever be

Me
