I Miss Those Days

I miss those days when you actually cared.
When you had a million and one things to do,
But you still made time for me.
When, even when I was the most horrible child,
You still spoke to me.
Those days when I never cried,
But I knew you'd be there if I did.

I miss those days,
Because I knew you then.

We didn't fight like cats and dogs.
We didn't catch an attitude with each other.
Not once did you ever raise your voice at me in anger.

I miss those days.
They were happy.

And I know they are gone,
That Daddy had used them for good,
That what He's doing now
Will make us both stronger in the end.

But I still miss those days.
