I love You New York

In This City

We've been through a lot in this city

When the towers fell from the sky on that dreadful day

Our city did what we must to help our wounded

And dig out from under the dust

When darkness fell upon us in the year 0 3 we took on the challenge

We worked all day and night until we figure out how to turn back on the light

In this city where money and politics

Stopped us in our tracks we still kept moving

We did not sit back

And in this city where the wind and the rain and the water

Almost took it all

New Yorkers came with blankets and food

We answered the call and we didn’t leave our city

We didn't let it fall

And we never will

And that’s what you’ll find in this City

New York City

Through the snow and the wind and the rain

Through the lies and the protest signs

New York City will stay alive
