I Love You and Goodbye

As I look around, I wonder what's going on.

But what I didn't realize whas that, someone's life was gone.

I can't believe I just stood there while all this was unfolding.

Until I noticed my family, that the ground was holding.

I rush to them to make sure that they're allright.

Then that's when I see my body, almost out of sight.

I can't believe my eyes, with the horror I see.

Another fact I can't believe, is that it really was me.

I catch myself wondering why this event took place.

Out of everyone else, I was the only disgrace.

As I turn to glance at my family, I start to disappear.

So I scream, hoping for it to get rid of my fear.

No one comes to me, to see what I need.

But I know I could sure use some help, indeed.

I run around my family, talk to unknown people, still find nothing.

Hoping that people will notice, I start crying.

While I regroup myself, I hear the crowd's faint hisses.

That's when I notice my mother's soft kisses.

With my last breath of air, I tell her I love her, and goodbye.

When up into the sky, I lift off and fly.
