I Know

I know what it is like to not know where I'll be

Wake up tomorrow without my baby

Immigration at the door going knock knock

I know all my friends just left the block

My boyfriend not knowing when It'll stop

I just pray for tomorrow to not be as hard

I just look up to the stars

I want them to be free

Why can't we welcome everybody?

I know having some dreams are hard

Waking up to a situation worse by far

Seeing my best friend not knowing what to do

Telling me it's ok and will always be cool

I call my abuela crying "why do they hate you"?

She said baby I don't have an answer for you

I KNOW WHAT IT IS LIKE
