I Kneel, I Stand

I kneel before where first met you.                                                                                                             I kneel before where you first kissed me.                                                                                                  I kneel before where I first kissed you.                                                                                                       I kneel before where I last saw you.                                                                                                           I kneel before where you took your last breath.                                                                                          I kneel before you to ask for your strength.                                                                                                I stand to say I am stronger.                                                                                                                       I stand to say I can carry on.                                                                                                                       I stand to say I love you.                                                                                                                             I stand to say the hole in my heart will heal to nothing more than a puncture wound.                               To say that all I have to remember you is that puncture and the few memories I hold.
