I Forgot

After our first kiss

I forgot how to breathe

Without the taste of you

Filtering air into my lungs

I forgot here to put my hands

When seated next to someone

Who has allowed me to touch

Every inch of their soul

I forgot how to fill

A twin bed on my own

And use a pillow

Rather than your chest

I forgot lunches without slushies

And Mondays without wrestling

And Mario Party without fucking

And driving without Turnover

And getting dressed without jewelry

And crying without laughing

And I forgot what it was

To not love

Or to exist

Without you
