I fell in love with you.

I fell in love with your soul,
With how pure it is.
How certain things light all of the emotions within it.
It is kind, sympathetic, and forgiving.
It has forgiven me when I abused it,
When I bruised it,
When I took advantage of it,
When I’ve almost killed it.
I fell in love with your soul.

I fell in love in love with your heart,
And what keeps it beating.
The way it loves everyone,
Always and unconditionally.
When I touch you it races uncontrollably.
Or when my head is on your chest at night,
I swear it plays me a lullaby.
I fell in love with your heart.

I fell in love with your mind,
It’s amazing how we think alike.
The way unorthodox topics make it spark,
It excites me.
How what you’re thinking is written all over your face,
Starring off into space,
Dreaming, planning, solving, or creating.
And then it wonders why I’m always starring at you.
I fell in love with your mind.

I fell in love with your body,
Every single feature is perfect.
How soft your hair is when I run my fingers through it.
Your dark eyes sparkle and speak a thousand words.
The way your lips taste,
The way that every hair on your head,
Every freckle on or body,
Or every dimple on your face,
Is so perfectly placed,
I swear God made you just for me.
I fell in love with your body.

I fell in love with your love,
It’s fearless and strong.
The passion you release from your lips.
Your hugs engulf and sooth me.
When we make love it’s not a rigorous task,
But rather a dance,
Your hips moving in sync with my breath.
Even holding your hand sends shivers up my back.
I fell in love with your love.

I fell in love with you.
