I Could Be So Great

The young and naïve thirteen year old me

Had no idea know who she could be

Following trends other people set

She hadn’t found herself just quite yet

With every big and small change made

She would feel herself gradually fade

Until one day her thinking did change

She had finally broken out her cage

She found a passion helping others

Her world is now filled with bright colors

At times she regrets the girl she was

I have a problem with that because

You see there’s nothing much to hate

I just didn’t know I could be great
