I am woman

Am I nothing more than a waist line?

A product of starving models, and purging diets.

Because everyone wants 23 precent less than me.

I am made to feel ashamed of what life has given me,

because I am only worth nothing if I'm not "beautiful".

Well, I tell you now I refuse to be brought down.

I am PROUD of me,

and, yes, it will be hard to feel good about myself when the world itself wants to bring me to my knees.

I'm going to stand for everyone who is "plus size".

I am woman, hear me roar.
