I am who I am

Tue, 08/25/2015 - 20:16 -- Mel1298

I am ugly,

yet I used to be so beautiful.

I lie,

yet I used to be truthful.

I'm cruel,

yet I used to be so kind.

I'm lost,

yet I was never so blind.

I 'm weak-willed,

yet I used to be so bold.

I'm exhausted,

yet I never felt this old.

Why did I let this happen,

how did it get so far?

I guess you have to live a little,

to know exactly who you are.

I was weak,

but now I am strong.

I was an outcast,

but now I belong.

I was ignorant,

but now I am aware.

I had lost hope,

but now it is there.

Change doesn't have to be so bad,

its a concept rather misunderstood.

Maybe you aren't who you thought you would be,

but maybe that is good.
