I am a princess.
Them gaudy crowns an’ fluffy dresses--
they don’t mean nothin’.
My castle is on the corner of Ninth and Elm.
My royal steed passes underground,
carryin’ all types
to all places.

I am a princess.
All girls deserve the best,
but some have to work harder to get it--
I am one of those,
the lucky, hard-workin’ type,
I get what I want if I want it bad enough.

I am a princess.
The queen has raised me up
to be better than any snooty fairytale girl is.
He screwed my head on straight,
so its not filled with an ego or nothin’.

This princess don’t need no crown.
Everybody knows that I am royalty.
No fancy scepter will make me better.
I know that I’ve got what I deserve.
Even if it ain’t much.
